Medjool dates are a large sweet date - larger than Deglet Nour - and have a soft, squashy middle. They are amongst the best of the date family, with their succulent centre, honey-sweet flavour and an almost caramel-like consistency.
Medjools have a prestigious history and were considered the 'fruit of kings'.
Medjool dates are an excellent energy snack. They contain lots of natural sugars (but are low on the Glycemic Index) and fibre which help keep you feeling energised until your next main meal. These lovely plump dates also contain copper, magnesium and manganese.
