Cumin - Ground Cumin and Whole Cumin Seeds - for all curry purposes!

Cumin is one of the most important curry spices. It is popular in both whole (seed) form, and powdered form. Even though the powdered form is simply a ground version of the whole cumin seeds, the seeds are the more authentic form of cumin. If you use the seeds, then they are best crushed immediately before use. This keeps the flavour locked in the seed as long as possible - releasing the cumin aromas during cooking time. Cumin Seeds

Cumin seeds, for the most authentic flavour and taste. (Also known as "whole cumin" or "whole jeera"). You generally crush or grind this into a powder before use, optionally heating just before crushing for that extra wonderful flavour.

Cumin powder for convenience. Simply add to curries as one of the basic spices (together with coriander, turmeric, chilli etc).
