This kuzu is a high quality starch, extracted from Japanese plant roots. Kuzu is easy to use. Simply dissolve in cold water.
Directions: One table spoon of kuzu chunks will thicken about one cup of liquid (approximately 240ml). Just dissolve the kuzu in cold water then add to your cooking liquid and heat. Continue to stir until thick.
