Basmati rice is a popular rice in India and Pakistan. This is easy to cook, taking about 20-25 minutes until ready.
White Basmati has a mild, pleasant fragrance once cooked and is softer than the brown version. Or Course it is the ideal accompaniment to a curry both Indian and Thai. Although it has less fibre it still has some protein and is plainer alternative to whole grain rice. If your recipe requires a soft, fluffy white rice without a strong flavour then this will be perfect.
Directions
Measure some rice into your pan. A cupfull is a good rough measurement - this will be enough for two people (when dry it always looks less).
Put the rice into a pan and add some water, clearing the rice by about 3cm. Bring it to the boil and then simmer. The rice will be cooked in about 20 minutes.
