Jasmine rice is so-called because it has a subtle fragrance reminiscent of the jasmine flower. This white jasmine rice is the traditional rice used in Thailand, and is from organic produce. Cooks in just over 10 minutes.
Directions
How to make light, fluffy jasmine rice:
- Use one cup of rice per person.
- Pour rice into a saucepan with a fitting lid.
- Cover with boiling water, until the water is 2cm above the surface of the rice.
- Cover the saucepan with the lid and bring to the boil.
- Turn the heat down to a simmer for around 10-12 minutes.
- The rice will be done when there is no more water in the pan. No draining is required!
