Directions
Bay leaves are added to sauces including: stews, casseroles, curries, white sauces and soups. To release the flavours, crumple the leaf before use. Add the bay leaves at the start of cooking, so that they can release their flavours as the meal cooks through.
Bay leaves can also used to flavour rice. Simply add 3 or 4 leaves to the rice whilst boiling.
