Pinhead oats are a coarsely-cut oat suitable for making a thick, chunky porridge. They cook in around 20 minutes and can be boiled in water, or a mixture of milk and water.
Directions
Place the oats in a large pan and cover with water.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Top up with milk and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
Sweeten to taste and add toppings such as cocoa, cinnamon, nuts and dried fruit.
