• Start by measuring one tablespoon of dried hibiscus flowers for every cup of water. Adjust the quantity based on your personal preference for a stronger or milder brew.
• Heat one cup of water in a kettle or saucepan until it comes to a boil. If you're making multiple servings, adjust the water quantity accordingly.
• Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers to the hot water. Stir the flowers gently to ensure even saturation.
• Cover the container with a lid or a heatproof plate and let the hibiscus flowers steep in the hot water. Allow the infusion to steep for 5 to 7 minutes. Steeping longer will result in a stronger flavour.
• After the steeping time is complete, strain the tea to remove the hibiscus flowers. You can use a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser. The vibrant liquid left behind is your hibiscus tea.
