You can use green cardamom pods to flavour Indian desserts such as kulfi and barfi. To do this, the whole pods are usually added while the ingredients are being cooked or mixed, and strained out later. Green cardamom pods are also often added to light Indian curries and the whole pods can usually be left in. To use these green cardamom pods as a tea, you can use the pods much like you would a tea bag and allow them to steep in hot water. You can also use this ingredient, along with a handful of other spices, to make Masala Chai.
