Soya-based Meat Substitute
Tempeh is a vegetarian alternative to meat made from whole fermented soya beans. Tempeh originates from Indonesia where it is a popular source of protein. Since it is made from the whole soya beans it also has a good level of fibre.
Use in place of meat in a stir-fry, ramen and other oriental dishes. Can also be sliced and fried on its own and eaten as a savoury snack.
