Mix one or two teaspoons (5-10 grams) with plenty of water to create an alleviating health drink. Best taken before meals. Can also be mixed with fruit juice or added to yoghurt or cereal.
Psyllium husks/powder will absorb around 20 times their own weight so ensure they are mixed with enough water to prevent choking hazards.
- Serving Size: 1-2 teaspoons (5-8g)
- Mixing: Stir into a large glass of water or juice (200-250ml). Drink straight away before it thickens.
- Hydrate: Follow with another full glass of water. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
- How Often: Take 1-3 times daily as required.
- Tip: Can also be added to smoothies or stirred into yogurt - just remember to drink extra water.
Do not take at the same time as medication or supplements (leave 1-2 hours). Increase gradually to allow your body to adjust.
