Organic agar agar powder is a natural, vegan, and vegetarian alternative to gelatine. It boasts a neutral taste and aroma, making it an ideal addition to a wide array of desserts, confectionery, and various other recipes. As a potent gelling agent, our agar agar effortlessly thickens and solidifies liquids. It is heat stable, so you can use it in both hot and cold dishes.

Our organic agar gar powder is packed full of fibre, meaning it will help aid digestion, and it is also a prebiotic so your gut will be over the moon. This product is also rich in minerals, such as calcium, iron, and magnesium. Some of our favourite ways to make use of agar agar are:

  • Vegan gummy bears: Mix agar agar powder with your favourite fruit juice or jelly and pour into moulds. Let it set in the refrigerator for a few hours and enjoy!
  • Agar jelly: A delicious and refreshing dessert. Simply mix agar agar powder with water or fruit juice and pour into a mould. Set in the refrigerator.
  • Agar pudding: Agar agar pudding is a creamy and satisfying dessert that is perfect for any occasion. Mix agar agar powder with milk or cream, or dairy-free alternatives, and your favourite flavours. Pour into a mould and let it set in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  • Agar soup: Use to thicken soups and stews, making them a bit more filling and satisfying. Simply add agar agar powder to your favourite soup recipe and simmer for a few minutes before serving.
  • Make agar noodles: Mix agar agar powder with water and cook until the noodles are soft. Drain and serve with your favourite sauce.
  • Add to smoothies: Agar agar powder can be added to smoothies to thicken them and give them a bit of extra body. Simply add a teaspoon of agar agar powder to your favourite smoothie recipe and blend until smooth.
