Our food-grade Activated Charcoal is produced from coconuts which have been highly purified with steam to remove any contaminants for use as a food-grade active ingredient.
Our Activated Charcoal Powder is a finely reduced powder (5-10 microns), which presents a huge surface area for the absorption of unwanted substances. When taken orally or used on teeth or skin it works like a sponge to soak up contaminants.
Activated charcoal contributes to reducing excessive flatulence after eating.
The beneficial effect is obtained with 1g which should be taken at least 30 minutes before and 1g shortly after the meal. DirectionsAdults & children over 12: 1 level teaspoon dispersed in a glass of water, taken by mouth immediately. Rinse with water to remove any residue.

Caution: Activated charcoal is good at trapping chemicals and prevents their absorption, therefore, it is advised to take activated charcoal at least one hour after medications or food supplements you take by mouth. For teeth: Wet a soft-bristled toothbrush and dip lightly into the charcoal powder. Brush gently for 1-2 minutes, then rinse well. Use 2-3 times a week as part of your natural oral care routine. For best results, avoid over-brushing and always be gentle to help protect tooth enamel. Follow up with your normal toothpaste to remove residue.
