The skins are nutritious, providing the body with additional fibre and antioxidants. Almonds have a distinctive sweet taste that gives classic sweets such as Bakewell Tart and Marzipan their flavour. These whole almonds can be eaten as a snack, added to muesli and added to flapjacks, cakes and breads. You can also soak them and then make them into almond milk.
