Lavender Essential Oil for culinary use

An unusual floral flavouring, Lavender [Lavendula angustifolia] has recently become popular in baking such as shortbread and other sweet dishes. Try using in drinks and jellies. Lavender is supposedly one of the secret flavours in Cola flavoured drinks.

The lavender flavour is highly concentrated so only one or two drops are required in cooking.
