Matcha has been used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies for nearly a thousand years. It is made from shade-grown tea leaves, avoiding direct sunlight and stimulating growth in chlorophyll which results in the vibrant green colour. Matcha is a very smooth and refreshing drink with a slightly sweet after-taste. Great to drink hot or cold!
