Sun-dried tomatoes have a beautifully intense tomato taste. They are often served alongside slices of Buffalo Mozzarella and Basil Leaves as a starter. The concentrated tomato flavour can be utilised in many dishes.
For example, these tomato slices can be blended with basil, Parmesan/Pecorino and pine nuts to make a red pesto.
