The Persimmon (often called the Sharon Fruit), is a round, orange/red coloured fruit that grows in Asian, South American and some Middle Eastern countries.
It has a slight honey-like sweetness with a mild earthy hint, similar to papaya. They make a great chewy snack and can be chopped into muesli, yoghurt, cakes and muffins.
These persimmons grow along the ancient Silk Road in Uzbekistan. They are harvested when fully ripe and are sorted, cleaned and cut by hand. The persimmon pieces are then naturally solar dried. These persimmons are a completely natural, high quality raw food.
