To open the bag, cut along the top, above the thick line (this is the zip lock). The zip can be pulled open and then pressed to close. This keeps the peas nice and fresh.
Rinse peas and leave to soak in water for 8 hours. Next, sprinkle peas into a germinator or a seed tray and allow a moment to let excess water drain away. Leave in a cool, dark place, not in direct sunlight. Re-water every day until you begin to see little roots. You can eat the sprouts at a few days old, but many prefer to leave the sprouts to grow into leafy salad shoots. To do this, transfer the peas into a tray with soil or or a capillary blanket and water well daily. Do not put in direct sunshine (this dries out the peas and may encourage mould growth). The sprouts will be ready in 8-12 days.
