Raw Chocolate, Banana & Coconut Brownie
- Hand made with raw (un-cooked) fruit, buckwheat, nuts and spices.
- Moist, squashy and chocolaty.
- Contains no wheat, dairy, refined sugar and no preservatives.
Gourmet Raw make their cake bars using raw fruit, pseudo-grains, seeds, nuts and spices. The food is not heated above 40.5°C to preserve all the natural enzymes, minerals and vitamins found within each ingredient.
Taste & Texture
The Gourmet Raw Cocobanana Brownie is thick and spongy to the bite. There are so many wonderful and complex flavours that appear as you chew; citrus, sweet fig, chocolate then finally coconut. This brownie reminded us of a dense and interesting fruit cake.
About The Ingredients
Raw cacao (which is the main ingredient of chocolate) is high in vitamins and minerals. Cashew nuts and buckwheat are packed full of protein and fibre. To sweeten this brownie, coconut nectar has been used instead of sugar. Coconut nectar is very low GI and doesn't give you those post sugar lows.
