Arame is an easy-to-use seaweed that requires only about 3 or 4 minutes of cooking. It has a mild, flavour and a crunchy, cabbage-like texture. It can be sprinkled into your meal towards the end of cooking.
Alternatively, it can be be cooked on its own in a small pan of water and mixed with miso or soy to make a soup.
Directions
Arame seaweed can be used in a similar way to cabbage. Soak for a couple of minutes before adding to stir-fries or casseroles. You can also add arame seaweed straight into soups without soaking first, because it can then use the moisture from the soup. Cook for around 3 to 4 minutes for best results.
