Can also be used in hot curries or Thai soup dishes.
Piquin chillies are a hot chilli from Mexico. They have an interesting heat that takes a few seconds to "kick in". Use them sparingly.
Directions
Crush these chillies in a mortar and pestle before adding to sauces, curries or pickles. Piquin chillies release a lot of heat into the dish and are used for their heat rather than their flavour!
Piquin chillies are also small enough to be added whole to soup dishes, where they can release their flavours.
Typically, you only need 1 or 2 of these tiny chillies per person.
