Oatcakes – Original
With extra virgin olive oil. Our organic oatcakes are the perfect platform on which to balance a chunk of cheese (Isle of Mull Cheese in particular!), a portion of pate, or a sliver of smoked salmon. The whole oats, oatmeal and extra virgin olive oil make for a versatile and nourishing oatcake, slowly baked with care in our unique wood fired ovens. We've created 3 varieties for you to savour.
The original is the simplest and most straightforward; a no frills, wholesome oatcake. In Scotland, oatcakes are part of most folks' store cupboards. They make a useful standby base for a quick lunch with cheese, tuna mayo, hummus or whatever you have to hand. No cheeseboard is complete without some oatcakes. You could even try them with a light scraping of heather honey for a healthier, sweet energy boost
