The following sweeteners are based around fructose, the natural sugar that is commonly found in fruit. Fructose has a lower glycemic index (GI) than standard table sugar (cane sugar), and is actually sweeter too, so you don't have to use as much. Fructose is typically used to sweeten tea or coffee, instead of cane sugar.
