Physalis (also known as the
Cape Gooseberry or the
Inca Berry) are a little orange coloured fruit with smooth skin, packed with tiny seeds and juices. The berry is usually surrounded by a papery leaf.
The Physalis' taste is rather like a light citrus flavour, and they are full of vitamin C.
