Bay Leaves

  • Popular in Mediterranean and Indian cooking.
  • Use in sauces, soups, stews and curries.
  • Simply add one or two to the saucepan.

Dill (or dill-weed) is an aromatic thin leaf that is best known for accompanying salmon.

Fenugreek Leaves

Fenugreek leaves have a strong, almost sweet aroma with a slight bitter and peppery flavour.

Hop flowers have a soothing, calming effect and are commonly made into tea to be drunk before bedtime. They can also be put into pillows where the aromas have a sedative effect.

    Marigold flowers come from the species Calendula, and are used in herbal teas, or as a food colouring. The flowers themselves are edible, and can also be used to decorate cakes.
