We offer a sliding discount scale based on the value of your order. The more that you order, the greater the discount. In addition, if you buy 3 or more of any item, you receive a further discount on those items.
The discount rates are as follows:
- If you spend £20.00 or more, you receive a 2% discount on the sum total of all goods in your order.
- If you spend £40.00 or more, this discount is increased to 5%.
- If you spend £100.00 or more, this discount is increased to 7%.
- If you spend £500.00 or more, this discount increases to 10%.
- If you buy 3 or more of any item, you receive a further 5% discount on those particular items.
The system applies these discounts automatically and incorporates them into the price. For clarity, you can see the total of all the discounts applied by looking at the bottom of your
basket, in a line marked "Total Discounts Applied".
Please note that our discounting structure is applied to online orders only. Collection orders and additions to orders will not be subjected to any discounts.
We feel that this system is more flexible than offering "free" delivery at a fixed value, because you still have the freedom to choose which parcel carrier you use, and still receive the appropriate discount. We never cut corners with delivery, and always give you a choice of delivery options. In addition, we do not hide delivery costs in the value of the goods, and always aim to charge you the exact delivery charge, based on the weight of the items.
If your order is large enough, the discounts will usually exceed the delivery costs! And as your basket value increases, you will keep receiving greater discounts. This is why we feel that our system is better than "free delivery", because it continues to reward people even after they've reached the free delivery threshold, and also rewards people for smaller purchases too.
Though our emphasis is on customer service, we still price things affordably. However, if there are any particular items that you feel are overpriced, please do not hesitate to contact us.
