Organic Brown Flax Seeds, Linseed 1kg (Sussex Wholefoods)
200g Flax Seeds
Fine Pink Himalayan Salt 500g (Sussex Wholefoods)
a pinch of Salt
Organic Paprika 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
½ tsp Paprika (optional)
Organic Garlic Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
½ tsp Garlic Powder (optional)
Other Ingredients
- 370ml boiling water
Method
- Place your flaxseeds in a blender and blend until they’re a very fine powder.
- Bring water to a boil in a non-stick pan, then lower to a gentle simmer. Add spices if using.
- Add ground flaxseeds into the simmering water. Cook for 2-4 minutes, stirring, until a soft, sticky dough ball forms.
- Transfer the dough to a glass bowl, cover with cling film and leave to stand for 20 minutes.
- Place half the dough between two large pieces of parchment paper on your counter.
- Roll dough thinly with a rolling pin. If it cracks, patch it up and keep rolling.
- Peel off the top paper. Shape your tortillas using a knife (you can use a plate as a guide to make an even circle shape).
- Heat a non-stick pan. Flip a tortilla into the pan, peel off the paper, and cook 2-3 minutes per side until dry.
- Fill with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
