Method

  1. Place the oats in a sieve and rinse thoroughly under cold running water. This helps remove excess starch, preventing your oat milk from becoming too slimy.
  2. Place oats, water, maple syrup and a pinch of salt in a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Place a cheesecloth over a  jug and pour the mix through the cheesecloth. Squeeze or press gently to extract as much liquid as possible.
  4. Add vanilla, stir well and place in a fridge for up to 5 days.
  5. Remember to shake the milk before each use, as homemade oat milk can separate over time.
