Psyllium Husks can help to gently bulk out the contents of the intestine allowing the process of natural movement through the gut to take place. Fibre helps to get your digestion moving and regulate bowel movements. Psyllium husks provide an easy way to increase your intake of fibre, particularly soluble fibre.
Mix one or two teaspoons of husks (5-10 grams) with plenty of water to create an alleviating health drink. Best taken before meals. Can also be mixed with fruit juice or added to yoghurt or cereal.
Psyllium husks will absorb around 20 times their own weight of water.
