VAT

Note that there is no VAT to worry about on most food items!

For VAT-rated items

Some items, particularly non-food items, are VAT-rated. As with all companies, we are required by law to charge VAT on these VAT-rated items. All VAT is included in the price - no hidden charges!

For those of you who need a full VAT breakdown for tax purposes, this will appear on the order preview pages, and on your receipt.

VAT on delivery

We are required by law to charge VAT on any parts of the delivery cost that are attributable to VAT-rateable items. VAT is included within the delivery price that you can see. Because our delivery costs are priced on weight, the VAT on delivery is calculated by considering the proportion of the delivery cost that is used to delivery VAT-rated items. Thus, the VAT on delivery is apportioned by weight, in accordance with the law.

Of course, all of this VAT is included in the price that you see. No hidden charges!

Note that of course, we don't keep any VAT.. instead, the VAT goes to the government, in accordance with the law.
