Chamomile Tea creates a gentle and relaxing base for this drink.

Tension Tamer Smoothie - Recipe

  • A comforting and nourishing drink.

Ingredients

  Chamomile Tea, 50 Bags (Heath & Heather)
250ml of chilled Chamomile Tea (use 1 Teabag)

  Freeze Dried Sliced Cherry 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
2 Tbsp Freeze-dried Sliced Cherries

  Freeze Dried Banana Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
2 Tbsp Freeze-dried Banana Powder

  Organic Cashew Nuts (1kg) - Sussex WholeFoods
25g of Cashew Nuts, preferably soaked overnight

  Organic Sunflower Seeds (1kg) - Sussex WholeFoods
1 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds

  Manuka Honey UMF 5+ 250g (Comvita)
1 tsp Manuka Honey

Other Ingredients

  • 1 small piece of fresh root ginger, peeled.

Method

  1. Pour the cooled Chamomile Tea into your liquidiser then spoon in the Freeze Dried Cherries and Banana Powder. Add the Cashew Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Root Ginger and Manuka Honey.
  2. Then whizz up all the ingredients for 30 seconds.
  3. Stir or shake (depending on your machine) and blend again for another 30-40 seconds or until you have a smooth consistency. Then serve.
If you have forgotten to soak your cashews, this recipe will still work very nicely with unsoaked Cashews. Soaking just makes for an extra creamy texture!
