Chop the banana into a powerful smoothie and add the rest of the ingredients. Blend for 10-15 seconds, remove jug and shake. Then blitz again for up to 30 seconds or until you have a smooth consistency.
Pour into a mug or cup. Sprinkle with extra cardamom powder if you wish.
If you cannot tolerate peanuts, then choose almonds or cashews.
The smoothie can be diluted with extra almond milk (or other dairy-free milk) to make enough for two to enjoy.
To make an even more soothing smoothie, add a teaspoon of Manuka Honey.
