White rice flour is a great gluten-free alternative to wheat flour. It can be used in cakes and bakes. Alternatively you can use it to thicken sweet or savoury sauces.

We recommend that if rice flour is used in gluten free baking, experiment by mixing it in with other flours such as buckwheat, millet or potato to create a more diverse flour to bake with. Additional raising agents may also be needed due to the lack of gluten.
