Unlike regular couscous, pearled couscous is toasted rather than steamed, giving it a slightly nutty flavour and a satisfyingly chewy bite. Its larger, pearl-like grains hold their shape well when cooked, making it an excellent choice for salads, pilafs, and one-pot meals. Our Organic Pearled Couscous is free from additives, offering you a wholesome, clean ingredient that's quick to prepare and endlessly adaptable for both everyday meals and special occasions. How to Cook Pearled Couscous:
- Bring 240ml of water or vegetable broth to a boil for every 80g of dry couscous.
- Add a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of olive oil (optional).
- Stir in the couscous, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork before serving.
