Hemp seeds are high in omega oils (essential fatty acids) and protein (essential amino acids). These are important for our muscle, blood, joints, brain health and skin health. We cannot produce these acids in our bodies therefore need to eat foods that contain them.
Hemp seeds are particularly excellent for those who choose not to eat meat, fish or dairy, as these foods contain many of the essential acids we need.
Hemp seeds have a nutty flavour when roasted. They can be sprinkled or ground into bread, rolls and muesli as well as being sprinkled over salads, soups and add to casseroles.
