These Madagascan vanilla pods are significantly more flavoursome than the normal vanilla pods. They are recognisable for their deeper aroma, longer length (around 17.5cm, which is around 2.5cm longer than standard vanilla pods) and their shinier, "juicier" appearance due to their higher moisture content.

Use Madagascan vanilla in the same way that you would use any vanilla pod: open the pod, scrape out the seeds and use the seeds in custard, smoothies, fruit compotes, chocolates or other desserts. The pod is also usually added to the dessert so that all of the flavour is used. Remove the pod before serving.

These pods come in a resealable glass jar so that none of the flavour is lost.
