This golden icing sugar is an unrefined, natural sugar. The colour comes from the molasses of the sugar cane, which are normally removed in processing to make pure, white icing sugar.
Golden icing sugar has a subtly richer, more rounded flavour rather than the "neutral" flavour of white icing sugar, though it's not quite as "deep" as, say, demerara sugar. This is a general-purpose icing sugar that can be used in all recipes where white icing sugar is used. It imparts a slightly deeper, more caramel-like flavour and a very slight golden colour.
