How to Use When you first get your Dream Cloths, they'll be stiff and a bit crispy. That's just what they're like when they're dry. The super dryness is what keeps bacteria at bay! Run your Dream Cloth under some water to soften it up. Once damp, it absorbs like a sponge and scrubs like a cloth. Use with your favourite cleaning product or on its own.
How long will a Dream Cloth last? Most people have found that Dream Cloths last between 9 months and a year, or about 50 machine washes. When you're ready to retire your dream cloth, just toss it in the compost (or bin, if you don't compost). It's 100% compostable and biodegradable.
What's the best way to dry my Dream Cloth? They're meant to dry au natural, NOT in the dryer. Here are some ways we like to air dry our Dream Cloths:
- Hang it over the tap or sink and embrace the odd shape that it forms
- Lay it flat on the counter
- Put it in your dish drying rack
- Clip it up to dry flat - you can use a magnetic hook on your fridge
- Hang it on a hook by punching a hole in a corner
When you're ready to use again, just run it under the tap.
Will these totally replace my paper towels? We hope so! These are great for wiping all types of surfaces - marble, granite, tile or even stainless steel. They're not so great at drying, so if you have a towel to dry your hands and/or your dishes, you should be all set. If you still miss that paper towel moment, we have sustainably sourced, 100% bamboo paper towels that are great for those super gross messes.
