The herb Chervil is related to Parsley and the leaves look similar in appearance to Flat Leaved Parsley. It is has a mild aniseed flavour, making it an ideal herb when cooking fish.
Chervil is one of the herbs found in the French herb blend fines herbes, which is used in a similar way to Bouquet Garni i.e. in slow cooking such as casseroles & hot pots.
Make your own fines herbes blend.
Sweet, mild slightly aniseed flavour.
Sprinkle into the pan when steaming fish.
Compliments asparagus, beetroot and celery.
Add to an omelette instead of Parsley.
