This super concentrated powder has a dense deep green colour. Spirulina [Arthrospira platensis] is a blue-green microalgae that was originally grown in Mexico and Africa. Spirulina is now commercially cultivated all over the world. It is a useful dietary supplement being rich in protein and containing a plethora of vitamins and minerals.
In order to preserve its nutritional value, spirulina is best consumed in recipes where little or no heat is required. For example, it can be stirred into shakes and into porridge after cooking, or incorporated into flapjacks, raw brownies or raw energy balls.
Directions for Use
A suggested serving is between 2.5g - 5g per day. Dissolve in fruit juice or add to a smoothie.
