This beautiful rose fragrance [Rosa damascena] is perfect for making your own pink Turkish Delight and adding a hint of flavour to jellies, ice-creams and pastries.

Rose oil requires thousands of petals to make a few drops, which is why this oil is blended with organic sunflower oil [Helianthus annus] in order to make this an affordable flavouring. The rose flavour is highly concentrated so only one or two drops are required in cooking.

For the curious, the word "otto" means that the oil is extracted via distillation rather than using alcohol or other solvents. This results in a much purer oil.

Directions

This rose oil is very concentrated, so you only need one or two drops. It is a food-grade oil.

Use rose otto to flavour desserts. Typically, Turkish Delight is made from water, flour, honey and rose otto.
Drop into home-made jellies for a "Turkish Delight" flavour.

Use in aromatherapy, massage and perfumery.
