This roasted pine kernel butter has a lovely sweet, nutty taste that is great spread on toast or crisp bread for breakfast or as a filling snack.
The pine nut paste can also be used in your cooking. Try stirring a tablespoon through pasta before serving or it can be used to make fresh pesto. Since this nut butter has such a depth of flavour you can easily make a dairy-free (vegan) version of pesto without Parmesan. All you will need is fresh Basil, Garlic and Pinenut Butter.

To use in pesto: You can use this pine nut butter as a direct alternative to pine nuts in pesto, and it saves a lot of chopping and grinding. You can make pesto in under a minute! Simply add 2 tablespoons of this pine nut butter to a large handful of finely chopped basil, some grated parmesan, crushed garlic and olive oil. Mix thoroughly.
As a spread: As with all nut butters, this pine nut butter is delicious on toast or crackers. Use as a direct replacement for peanut butter. Pine nut butter is very runny and spreads very easily!
