Darker and more intensely flavoured compared to Asian Green Teas.
Best drunk without milk.
Requires a tea sieve/infuser for brewing.
Green tea is a popular tea alternative in the UK and is most commonly imported from Japan and China.
Green Tea comes from the same plant as black tea. The difference is that it has not undergone any processing or fermentation, which means it retains far more of its nutrients and antioxidants. The only process that has occurred is natural drying after the fresh leaves have been picked.
Ceylon Green Tea vs Asian Green Tea - Flavour
Ceylona green tea is grown in the Central Province of Sri Lanka at Medium Elevation. This tea has a much more in-depth flavour compared to Asian green teas as well as a much darker leaf. It is more nutty and malty tasting and a bright bold golden colour (not green).
Directions:
This tea is best used in a tea pot, though will work very will inside an infuser. All you need is one teaspoon of dry tea per person.
