The Camu Camu Tree [Myrciaria dubia] produces reddish-purple berries roughly the size and shape of cherries. These trees mostly grow around the Amazon.
The berries are mainly consumed for their Vitamin C content, but also contain good levels of Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Carotenoids with Lutein being the dominating carotenoid, followed by beta-carotene and zeaxanthin.
This powder provides a useful dietary ingredient
as well as a totally natural citrus flavouring.
Directions for Use
Stir 1-2 teaspoons per person directly into drinks, sprinkle over desserts or mix into puddings.
