Arame - a light crunchy seaweed.
Arame seaweed typically comes in small short strings, and can be shaken into stir-fries and soups. It is crunchy, with a mild flavour. It's kind of a very salady seaweed, and is often served as a garnish or as part of a light starter.
Arame seaweed is very high in fibre (67%) and has moderate amounts of protein (9-10%), as well as good levels of iron, calcium and magnesium.
